Soffits
We fit solid upvc soffits unless we have been specifically asked to fit the slatted effect system. As shown in the adjacent picture, the solid soffits are made in the same way as the double skinned fasia board.

It is rigid, impact resistant & will not warp under the force of expansion & contraction.

Fascia Boards
Where possible we fit 25mm (1") thick fascia board, as per the adjacent picture. It has a upvc skin on both the inner & outer face of the board. This enables it to support a guttering system without the need to screw the gutter through the fascia & into the rafter end.

Guttering
Powder Coated Seamless Aluminium is our preferred guttering system. The machine that make it is transported to site, where it is made to the exact size of each elevation. It is available in any colour & has no joints except on the internal/external corners. The colourfast is guaranteed fo 20 years.

 

 

Rafter Ends
When the existing fascia is removed, we normally find that the rafter ends have damage caused by the removal of large nails used to support the old fascia & a small amount of rot. We cut the rotten part of the rafter away & install new chemically treated timber, all part of our standard procedures.

 

 

Re-Felting
When carrying out a fascia installation, we remove the tiles & replace the perished felt. We remove the 1st tile baton, cut away the damaged bitchumin felt. When this is complete, new felt is inserted upto the 2nd tile baton, we then install a new tanilised lath to replace the baton we removed.
